Performance measurement, verification and feedback; all are essential to success.

Excellent performance can be assessed against plans using simple questions like:

  • Are we meeting our customers needs? How do we know?
  • Are we doing the (right) processes well? How do we tell?
  • Are we improving with experience? How can we prove that?
  • Are our people enjoying delivering our outputs? How do we know?
  • Are we achieving our profit goals? What does our P&L (PI's) say?

It is good to have a positive reality check and sound quantitative and qualitative feedback to provide a consistent and credible view of progress.
